Carlos Infantes is the head of FHAUS, an innovative, bespoke housing firm in Barcelona. Since 2013, Infantes and his team have been rethinking the concept of housing, looking at it from a modern perspective, and engaging in discussions about what a ‘home’ actually is.
Born in California and brought up in Spain, Carlos has found mentors and inspiration from a variety of sources. His active mind and passion for creating something responsive to human society and culture is infectious.
His ideas are all the more fascinating given that he is not working with a blank slate, but rather with the 100-year-old modernista buildings of the city.
The Very Present Future is a series of interviews spearheaded by videographer Milo de Prieto. Metropolitan has teamed up with Milo to interview interesting thinkers and doers from all walks of life, all of whom have had a positive influence on the city in some way.
Metropolitan has teamed up with Milo to interview more people investing in the excellence of the city, based on three key questions: How did you get to where you are today? What are you doing right now? Where are you going from here?
