The Modernista Sant Pau Complex was built between 1905 and 1930 and designed as a garden city for nursing the sick. After being used as a public hospital for a century, its newly refurbished pavilions shine again in all their splendor.

The old parish church of Santa Maria del Taulat, built in 1878, was destroyed at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War. In 1945, work began on a new temple, designed by the architect Marià Romaní (1900-1966), and it was completed in 1950.

The annex to the Palau Sant Jordi, the Sant Jordi Club is a smaller space that hosts well-known music acts that visit Barcelona. Around 30 concerts are held here each year.
