It was born in 2013 by Chef Jon Giraldo (Colombia) and Jaime Lieberman (Mexico), who enjoyed the idea of hosting private dinners and creating artistic and inspired dishes to share among friends. Spoonik aims to unite the services of a modern restaurant with clandestine dining in mind, through its stylish decor, interesting menus, and unparalleled hospitality.
The chefs infuse the menu at Spoonik with tastes from their home countries, blending Mexican, Colombian and Mediterranean cuisines to create original and flavoursome dishes. They carefully select seasonal products to ensure their tasting menu changes regularly, surprising and exciting diners each time. Based on their textures and flavours, the chefs specialise in creating unique gastronomic pairings, such as cactus, mango and apple, vegetable ceviche, an ode to corn serving corn cream, corn ice cream, popcorn powder and more, or candied beef with sweet potato puree, crumbled triguisar and corn smut tartar. Each dish is prepared with delicacy and attention to its aesthetics, making the experience that much more pleasurable and exclusive.
