This supper club is run from the home of chef Xabi Bonilla, whose impressive credentials include Michelin-starred restaurants Casa Marcial and El Raco d’en Freixa. “I want people to experience fine dining in a relaxed, intimate setting,” explained Bonilla. Born in San Sebastián, he drew inspiration for Santa Rita Experience from the traditional Basque txoko, a private gastronomical society where members gather to cook, eat, drink and chat. In Bonilla’s spacious loft, guests can enjoy a seasonal six-course tasting menu, with the option of a private table or communal dining experience, for €55. Expect innovative takes on typical Spanish and Basque dishes such as white asparagus gazpacho, hake marinated in ceviche juice and lentils with chocolate. For those looking to improve their culinary skills, Santa Rita also offers market tours and cooking classes.
