The old parish church of Santa Maria del Taulat, built in 1878, was destroyed at the beginning of the Spanish Civil War. In 1945, work began on a new temple, designed by the architect Marià Romaní (1900-1966), and it was completed in 1950.
The building occupies a corner lot, with the main entrance, with atrium, on Carrer de Pujades. The bell tower, circular in section and crowned with a small dome, is at the intersection of the two streets. The nave is quite large (about 28 meters long by 18 meters wide) and has a small chapel dedicated to the Blessed Sacrament and a sacristy. The complex also includes the rectory and the parochial schools. The style is austere, with neo-Romanesque and neo-Gothic references.
