Santa Clara International School was founded in 1968 with the vision of creating of educational model in which the English language is an essential tool. The third generation of owners still apply the same innovative spirit to the project as in the early days.
Since its beginnings, the school has created its own programmes in which creativity is key to the learning process and to the students' social, emotional and academic growth. Students have a passion for learning and are eager to know about anything new they come across. Their future success is supported in every way by parents and teachers.
Santa Clara's goal is to create a stimulating environment in which freedom of thought flourishes and in which each student can develop his or her own academic and personal potential. Teachers seek to inspire a love of learning, and to develop children's unique talents inside and outside the classroom.
Emphasis is placed on individualised teaching, paying attention to students' abilities, interests and hobbies. Students leave Santa Clara open minded, ready to adapt to changes and able to work in a team. They are both competitive and cooperative. They are skillful, reflexive and innovative entrepreneurs.
The Santa Clara sports programme is designed to help students develop sportsmanship, discipline, self defence, cooperation and leadership. Another key element is the use of positive thinking, game strategies and concentration. The music programme consists of concerts, musicals, piano, violin, etc.
Primary School
This stage is fundamental to the student's success, optimising the learning process and critical thinking through different programmes. These include Finnish Maths, applied to everyday life and We Love Art in which students develop their creativity in different ways. The Key Programme is a new methodology that enables students to learn a number of different subjects effectively. In the London Programme, the students live for a few days in London, and the Music Programme offers the opportunity to develop motor, visual and hearing abilities. Other programmes include Public Speaking and Workshops.
High School
Santa Clara wants its students to develop a deep understanding of themselves and what surrounds them. As students progress, their work acquires a more complex dimension, and the learning process develops into knowledge, values and attitudes. Strategies are adapted to each individual in order to guarantee harmonious academic growth. Teachers are trained in the development of strategies that help students reach their targets. Many students are admitted to prestigious universities all over the world.
