About Oxford House
Oxford House Barcelona is our language academy in Barcelona's Eixample Dret. Here we offer a wide range of courses and private classes in English, Catalan and Spanish for adults, young adults, and children. We also organize activities and events to help students practice English.
The center is located just one minute from Paseo de Gracia, in the heart of Barcelona.The area has numerous public transport options, allowing for easy travel to and from the center.
Oxford House has a surface area of 1,000m2 and 23 classrooms. Each are equipped with computers, projectors and/or smart TVs, as well as air conditioning and heating. We also offer dedicated study spaces and a beautiful two story garden, where students can enjoy the sunny skys of Barcelona. In our library you are able to choose books of different genres, in English or Spanish, to deepen your practice of a new language.
About Oxford TEFL
Oxfod TEFLwas founded by Duncan Foord and Nick Rawlinson, with the ambition of creating a place where students, teachers, and marketing/administration staff enjoy working and learning. For us, that means helping people to focus on their goals and achieving them. Creating an atmosphere of open communication, support and willingness is important to us. Since we opened in Barcelona in 1998, we have been helping teachers gain qualifications which have allowed them to teach English all around the world, while also developing their professional skills. Over 5,000 teachers have completed their CELTA course with us and over 800 their Trinity Diploma in TESOL. We think learning to teach is important and challenging. We want you to be just as excited about teaching as we are!
At Oxford TEFL, we believe that teaching is a craft. We see it as a professional skill acquired mainly with guidance and practice in the classroom. As a business, we are mindful of creating affordable courses that are not only useful, but also enjoyable. We are a company founded and driven by teachers that are committed to making a contribution to English language teaching and teacher training.
We are also committed to supporting the education community globally, working together with charities, such as CAMFED, and partner schools to help resources reach those with access to fewer opportunities.
Alongside our language school, Oxford House, we have developed online and face-to-face Spanish teacher training courses. Our learning never stops. We hope to continue reaching new corners of the world to help aspiring teachers realize their dreams.
