Gina Fegali is a Sound Therapist, Meditation Teacher, Holistic Therapist and Usui Reiki Master based in the Born area. She advocates the use of sound meditation and sound therapy in contemporary culture, using different formats including workshops, retreats, training, private sessions and large-scale events to disseminate her work. Her methods are informed by her studies of neuroscience, psycho-acoustics and quantum physics.
One of her regular programmes is Sound Meditation Moments. It uses intentional sound to evoke therapeutic or restorative effects, which is a gentle yet powerful experience for the mind and body. The programme focuses on breathing techniques to begin with, before using different sounds and frequencies to create a variety of overtone-emitting instruments including tuning forks, gongs, Himalayan and crystal singing bowls, chimes, and voice. The sound of harmonic vibrations are intended to stimulate the alpha and theta brain waves and connect to deeper levels of consciousness. These waves are associated with deep meditative and peaceful states that are highly conducive to healing and homeostasis process. Sound can also slow down the heart and respiratory rate, creating a therapeutic effect on the mind and body.
Fegali believes that the benefits of meditation can work for anyone, as the goal of the experience is to invite deep rest and relaxation. It is also a method of self-inquiry, giving you the time and tools to explore your inner self. She has experience providing Sound Meditation Moments outside of the class, visiting schools and offices to bring her services to you.
Beyond meditation, Fegali provides various spa treatments, using the sound of alchemical crystal singing bowls, exotic oils, massage ceremonies and specifique guided meditations, to bring about deep regeneration of the body and mind to recreate a state of perfect balance and wellness.
