Autoescuela Corsa is the only driving school in Barcelona that offers theoretical classes and driving lessons in English.
Its experienced English-speaking teachers will guide you through all the necessary procedures in order to get your Spanish driving licence as quickly as possible.
Its complete course package includes:
A four-day intensive theory course, completed in English with an experienced teacher
Teaching material
Online, multiple choice test questions (to make sure you pass the theoretical exam)
Five driving lessons—just you and your teacher, in the same car (both manual and automatic dual-controlled cars available)
The tests to obtain your licence include:
Theoretical Exam: Made up of 30 questions, it’s multiple choice. There is only one correct answer for each question, and you can make up to three mistakes.
Driving Exam: The approximately 25-minute exam is taken on public city roads. If you break a rule, miss a sign or the driving instructor (seated as your co-pilot) has to use the brakes, you will fail the exam. The examiners are very strict on this matter. It’s not only about your driving ability, but also how focused you are during the exam.
A) European licences (including Norway, Iceland and Liechtenstein)
It is not mandatory to validate your licence until it expires. Once it has expired or shortly before the expiration date, it is obligatory to validate it and exchange it for a Spanish licence.
Indefinite driving licences (those which never expire) or those which are valid for more than 15 years have to be exchanged for a Spanish licence no more than two years after getting legal residency in Spain.
B) Driving licences of countries with an agreement (non-Europeans)
Licence holders from these countries will have to validate their licence and exchange it for a Spanish licence six months after receiving Spanish residency.
C) Driving licences from other countries (USA, Canada, Australia, etc.)
Licence holders from these countries can drive in Spain with their original licence for a maximum of six months from the date they entered Spain and for another six months after receiving their residency.
After that time, these licences are no longer valid in Spain, and you must get a Spanish driving licence in order to continue driving.
