"After being trained as a classical ballerina from the age of four, I suffered a knee injury that required surgery and ended my career. It was then that I was introduced to Pilates as a way of rehabilitation. Pilates helped me come to terms with my remodeled body in a gentle and concise way. I was immediately seduced by this method and the many benefits it offers, so much so that I trained to become a teacher. Seven years after opening my studio, Dinamic Pilates, I still feel the same reverence for this method. I teach both Pilates Mat (on the floor) and Pilates Studio (with machines like the reformer), in small groups of eight people maximum or in private sessions for individuals suffering from injuries or chronic pains. With Pilates, bodies elongate, gain balance and grace, and increase their range of motion. The individual’s natural movement is freed up, reducing bad posture as well as pain. Pilates transforms not only the body, but also the way we interact with it." Mia Garzón.
