Mia was found in the Seville area in 2009 having been hanged.

She was adopted by a vet called Maria José, who runs an animal hospital Calle Veterinos in Sant Cugat, outside Barcelona.

The animal hospital fosters three galgos at a time free of charge for the charity.

Victor was rescued from a ditch near a road in Lleida and was taken to a nearby animal hospital where he spent two weeks being treated, then several more weeks being fostered by an SOS Galgos volunteer called Manuela.

He was so badly injured the charity seriously considered having put him down. But he has made an incredible recovery and isn't even emotionally scarred by his past.

He was rehoused in Finland where he lives with a young woman called Seija, who flew over with an empty crate from Helsinki to pick him up, and who has since adopted two more galgos.
SOS Galgos is a charity run by Anna Clements and her veterinarian husband Albert Sordé de Uralde.
