Welcome back to the Metropolitan Culture Corner, hosted by singer, songwriter and Metropolitan collaborator Tori Sparks. Since the series began, we’ve spoken to photographers, authors, visual artists, musicians, and this month Tori interviews Palencia-born actress, poet, director and the current “Madame” of Barcelona’s own Prostíbulo Poetico Sonia Barba. (What is the Prostíbulo Poetico, or “poetry brothel”? You’ll have to watch the interview to find out!)
Last month the MCC featured Croatian actor Luka Peroš, who plays the role of Marsella in the popular Netflix series La Casa de Papel (a.k.a. Money Heist). He lets us in on his acting process, shares stories from behind the scenes on set and explains how the global pandemic has affected him both personally and professionally.
Coming up next month Tori interviews French mastering engineer Yves Roussel, who has worked with everyone from indie bands to major labels, and who over the years has crafted his own technique to push his clients’ music to the next level.
