The young Canadian clarinetist Virginia MacDonald is a real “shooting star” of North American jazz. Born and raised in Toronto, she began playing the clarinet at the age of seven. Already at a young age she has established herself as an internationally recognized soloist and regularly plays at the largest festivals and in the most important clubs worldwide, including the Detroit Jazz Festival, Rochester Jazz Festival, Ronnie Scotts and Duc des Lombards. She has won a number of awards, and was the guest soloist at the 50th anniversary of the International Clarinet Association in Denver in 2023. 

The jazz trumpeter Joe Magnarelli has dedicated his 40+ year career to becoming of of the premier trumpeters, improvisers and composers. He is known for his impeccable technique and his warm, open sound. He has lead bands in clubs and concert halls all over the world and is also a part time trumpet professor at the Julliard School in New York. 

This outstanding line-up with musicians from the USA, Canada, Italy and Austria is a real all-star selection and guarantees a top-class concert—swinging jazz at its best!
