The exhibition highlights the role of these two brands in democratizing design, as well as the importance of design for people’s well-being. It also reflects on how concepts such as sustainability and functionality have evolved. The exhibition offers a game of mirrors that contrasts “global” with “local” and tells the story of two entrepreneurs who are similar in some ways and different in others, while establishing a dialogue between Scandinavian and Mediterranean design.

The exhibit also invites visitors to reflect on a parallel universe in which the global brand is VINÇON and not IKEA.
