The best international mountain and nature-related films compete every year at the Torelló Mountain Film Festival. The wide range of opportunities offered by the festival enables documentaries with different subject matter to be screened: expeditions, nature reports, adventure sports and environmental documentaries of all kinds. In addition to the competitive section, the festival includes other activities, such as exhibitions, talks, book stands and conferences.

Founded in 1983 as the Mountain Film Competition the festival has continued to grow for four decades, and is now one of the most important festivals in the world of its kind.
