The exhibition includes a selection of nearly 160 works chosen from the more than 3,000 photographs of authors from the Iberian Peninsula from the Foto Colectania Collection. Among the 32 authors, there are great classics such as Leopoldo Pomés, Xavier Miserachs, Ramón Masats or Francisco Gómez; photographers of the later generation such as Pilar Aymerich, Manel Armengol, Cristina García Rodero or Manolo Laguillo; and other recent generations like Laia Abril, Cristina de Middel and Txema Salvans.
The photographs are arranged in 24 sequences, grouped in eight blocks. Thus, the distribution of the selection recreates the dialectic between a single image and what we could call an alternative development of events. This arrangement, reminiscent of a photographic atlas–with its regions and continents, some more extensive than others–reveals an unusual capacity of photography as a device: the images collaborate with each other producing new meanings and, ultimately, other events that a single photograph could not contain.
