After an extensive tour of the United Kingdom at the end of 2022, The Clockworks decided to go into the studio to record an album. Their passion for narrative meant they would be influenced by films such as Pulp Fiction and series like Fleabag. This is how Exit Strategy emerged, the band's debut album that will be released on November 10th, 2024.
The album, which will be released independently on their own Life And Times Recordings label, is a thirteen-song labor of love, recorded at Abbey Road and Love Electric studios, with the help of Bernard Butler on production.
The Clockworks band mixespop sensibilities with noise, post-punk and rock-influenced styles. The songs can seem egocentric and dark, but they have an epic, nostalgic quality. They combine poetic introspection with witty drama to create an intense yet playful style.
