Tea Time (La Once), Maite Alberdi (Chile, 2014)
A group of friends, very talkative and somewhat cheeky, meet once a month to have tea religiously since they finished school, several decades ago. Their favorite pastime is hours and hours of talking and laughing between them, evoking the common past that they share and strive to keep current while they try to forget at times all the problems that come with the age.
Time passes, in the talks and in their lives, and it seems that they do not escape the monotony; until one day, one friend is no longer present. The absence of one of the members of the group will make them face a period of obvious transformations.
Maite Alberdi achieves making the camera almost completely disappear in these traditional rooms full of memories, to open the way for revealing and sincere testimonies and speeches from a group of friends who talk about life, family and memories. The filmmaker made her leap to the international scene because of this film.
Film will be screened in its original version.
