Swab is the contemporary art fair of Barcelona, an independent project that was born in 2006 as an experimental platform for emerging artists. Founded by architect and collector Joaquín Diez-Cascón, Swab is an event that brings together up to 80 galleries from the international scene and functions as a meeting point for the cultural sector on a global scale. 

With 15 editions under its belt, the fair faces 2024 while maintaining its mission of supporting the spaces and disciplines that are changing the course of the art scene. Barcelona was chosen for its free spirit and international character. Bringing a representative sample of the emerging talent that is defining the future of the art market here to this cosmopolitan city generates a unique platform of exchange and dialogue. It's a meeting between cultures united by art and twinned under the blue sky of the Mediterranean.
