Stravinsky's Petrushka

Casal Quartet as part of the Petrushka ballet performance at L'Auditori
Featuring Stephanie Childress, conductor, Cuarteto Casals and the Barcelona Symphony Orchestra (OBC), L'Auditori is hosting a grandiose performance of Igor Stravinsky's ballet Petrushka. Petrushka tells the story of the loves and jealousies of three puppets, in a globally celebrated musical adventure. It brings music, dance and design together in a unified whole. It is one of the most popular of the Ballets Russes productions. Traditional composition and radical creativity can be found in Igor Stravinsky’s Neoclassicism, which develops an iconic language for Diaghilev’s 1911 commission for the ballet Petrushka.
