Both Sonya Yoncheva (Bulgaria, 1981) and Ismael Jordi (Jerez de la Frontera, 1973) have seduced the public with the beauty of their voices, their mastery of vocal agility and the intensity they bring to the characters they embody.

Yoncheva is one of the greatest sopranos of our time, and one doesn't often get the opportunity to hear one of the great stars of international opera singing zarzuela. Celebrated on important stages such as the Metropolitan Opera and the Royal Opera House, her interpretations of the most iconic roles have conquered the world of opera and her repertoire ranges from the Baroque to Puccini, including figures such as Mozart, Verdi and Tchaikovsky.

Jordi's warm and indispensable voice has been recognized in many international competitions, most notably winning the First Prize and the CultureArte special at Operalia. With a solid and successful career, he continues his meteoric rise after his debut at the Metropolitan in New York last 2023 as Alfredo in La Traviata and receiving the Ópera XXI award for Best Male Singer in its fifth year.

Together at Festival Castell Peralada, accompanied on the piano by the always exquisite Rubén Fernández Aguirre, they will perform the most representative romances and zarzuela duets of this lyrical genre, all composed by the great masters.
