Simple Minds, named after a David Bowie song, was formed in the 1970s and emerged as one of the most successful bands in the UK, selling over 60 million records worldwide. With several number-one albums and singles, the group has maintained its popularity over the years.

The band's song "Don't You (Forget About Me)" is particularly popular, and recent albums have been highly acclaimed by critics. Notably, the album Big Music (2014) has been hailed as the group's best work in 30 years. Currently on a world tour, the band, led by Jim Kerr, continues to be relevant four decades after its inception.

Simple Minds is known for its electrifying concerts, where both the band and the audience are energized by live music. According to Kerr, this is the essence of Simple Minds and what makes it truly special.
