In recent years, television series have become an authentic audiovisual phenomenon. Serielizados Fest, the festival organized by the magazine of the same name, celebrates its 11th edition this year with the debut of original series and documentaries. These productions have triumphed on television and at festivals throughout the world and come from countries as diverse as Iceland, the United Kingdom, Norway, Croatia, the United States, Japan and Italy.
This year, for the eleventh edition, a new competitive for Spanish premiere series has been added, juried by Carlo Fasino, Luci Lenox and Santiago Vaca Narvaja. The jurors for the international competitive section are Aina Clotet, Lourdes Iglesias and Diego San José.
The festival program for 2024 has yet to be announced (coming in September), but a look a last year's agenda will give you an idea of what you can expect in the next session.
2023 Program
The festival opened in 2023 with the world premiere of Això no és Suècia. Co-directed by Mar Coll and Aina Clotet, who head the cast together with Marcel Borràs, the series narrates in a dramatic comedy style the contradiction that a couple of young parents face when protecting their children from the dangers of life.
National titles that premiered with the presence of their creators includee: La Mesías (Movistar Plus+), the new series by Javier Ambrossi and Javier Calvo, Déjate ver (atresplayer) by Álvaro Carmona, Las vidas de Fèlix (HBO Max) a documentary series in which director Fèlix Colomer explores aspects of his past life from the perspective of his recent fatherhood and Berto Romero’s debut in the horror genre with El otro lado (Movistar Plus+).

Other series premieres included the latest season of Fear the Walking Dead, Noche de chicas, Això no és Suècia, Roni and Fanzilona.
On October 21st, Phenomena hall hosted a marathon session of the acclaimed first season of the series 30 Coins (HBO Max) with its creator, filmmaker Álex de la Iglesia, who accompanied the audience in a colloquium halfway through the screening.
Jesse Amstrong, British creator and showrunner of Succession was the festival's featured guest, accompanied by a screening of Peep Show, the first series of the well-known screenwriter. Armstrong spent some time with the audience to talk about his career and the process behind the success of Succession, which recently ended its run on HBO.
Screenings will be held at the CCCB (Centro de Cultura Contemporánea de Barcelona), CASA SEAT, Sala Phenomena and Espai Texas.
