The singer Rosemary Standley and the musicians of the Ensemble Contraste present a selection of Schubert's lieder with an original sound texture, the result of different musical influences: classical, pop, jazz and folk.

A repertoire that offers music in a different light, integrating rhythms from other countries and cultures, as well as unusual instruments for this kind of repertoire: guitar, double bass and percussion. Surrounded by musicians from different worlds, Johan Farjot imagines subtle arrangements in the form of a tribute to Schubert and his lieder. 

This music, originally written for voice and piano, is merged with the lyrical poems of German Romanticism, where the melancholic words tell intimate stories of love and loss.
