The French pianist Pierre-Laurent Aimard will offer an extraordinary recital designed exclusively for the exhibition The Paths of Abstraction, 1957-1978. Dialogues with the Museum of Spanish Abstract Art of Cuenca. The concert is a musical journey with works from the second half of the 20th century that correspond to the American and European abstract art movements.
The recital includes compositions by Pierre Boulez, John Cage, Stockhausen, Morton Feldman and Ligeti and will allow us to enter an exciting musical period, with a creativity in search of new sonorities.
Pierre-Laurent Aimard has been applauded around the world as a key figure in contemporary music, Pierre-Laurent Aimard enjoys a successful international career. Considered an "extraordinary visionary" by The Washington Post and a pioneering artist celebrated for his insightful insights, in 2017 Aimard received the prestigious Ernst von Siemens International Music Award in recognition of a lifetime of service to music.
