Precursors of the New Queer Cinema

The Precursors of the New Queer Cinema is a screening of four different films between 1950-1987 by various authors. The screening is described as a cinematic exploration around sexuality, desire and eroticism. The pieces of this session transgress hetero-normative morality while proposing a renegotiation of subjectivities and self-image.
The session consists of the following films:
- Un chant d'amour, Jean Genet (France, 1950, 26').
- Scorpio Rising, Kenneth Anger (USA, 1963, 30') VOSC.
- Double Strength, Barbara Hammer (USA, 1978, 20').
- Vloof l'aigrette - Pain de singe, Teo Hernandez (France-Mexico, 1987, 4') VOSC.
