Although you may not know it, it is very possible that you have already heard Pi’erre Bourne. Basically, trap would have been very different (and also much worse, if truth be told) over the last five years if it had not been for him: his productions for Playboi Carti, Young Thug, Lil Uzi Vert, Juice WRLD and Trippie Redd, are as close to the street as they are to a video game. They have been copied again and again and have become a canon within the genre—almost a genre in itself.
His King Midas touch of the beat facet would have been enough to earn him a chapter in the encyclopedia of trap or hip-hop, but living in the studio constantly surrounded by the best rappers ended up making Pi'erre Bourne want to sign his own tracks and even entire mixtapes.
Who would have imagined that the best producer of his generation would also become a versatile and imaginative MC with his own voice? And now he's about to drop The Life of Pi’erre 5 at La (2) de Apolo.
