Directed by Robert Altman McCabe and Mrs. Miller (1971) is a demystifying Western, documented and realistic, set at the beginning of the 20th century. It explains the birth of organized prostitution from the adventure of a couple who locate their sex business next to a mining company in the northeastern United States and who must face a large company when it tries to buy a part of the business.
