At 78 years old, Max Romeo is retiring from the stage with a European tour combined with an an album release with new versions of his best-known songs, as well as unpublished material featuring collaborations with artists who love and respect the reggae legend.
The artist’s goal is to pass the testimony of his musical life on to his children, Azizzi and Xana Romeo, in a way that both broadens their careers and perpetuates their work. They will accompany him on The Ultimate Tour.
Max was born in rural Jamaica, and it was in this miserable but joyful environment that he took his first steps in the world of music. His first lyrics were impregnated with the tough but optimistic atmosphere that is the hallmark of committed rebels.
"Rudeboy Confession" and "Buy Me A Rainbow" were his first successful songs, but it was not until 1969 with the song "Wet Dream" that he scored his first international hit, which reached the British Top 10.
Don’t miss his film performance in Barcelona at Sala Paral·lel 62.
