Mal de pierres (From the Land of the Moon) Nicole García (France, 2016)

France. 1950s. Gabrielle is a passionate and free-spirited woman who lives in a small village in Provence, France. Although she dreams of finding true love, her parents want to make her a respectable woman, and force her to marry José, an honest and loving Spanish farmer. But Gabrielle does not love him and feels great frustration with her oppressive family regime. It is during her stay at a spa in the Alps that Gabrielle meets André. There, the desire to love and be loved is reborn in her.
