Luther: Never Too Much, Dawn Porter (USA, 2024)
An intimate and touching portrait of the legendary soul and R&B singer Luther Vandross. From his beginnings on Sesame Street, his collaborations with David Bowie, Bette Midler, Chic, Sister Sledge and Roberta Flack, to his Grammy Award wins in the 1980s, the documentary elegantly and profoundly explores not only his unparalleled talent but also his constant struggle to be accepted and recognized beyond the African American market. It delves into his conflicts with sexual prejudices and physical insecurities. Co-produced by actor Jamie Foxx.
Film will be screened in original version with subtitles in Catalan.
