Revolts against the established order were a key factor in shaping modern Europe between the 16th and 18th centuries. Music itself was also subject to these powers (religious, monarchic, bourgeois) and reflected their influence. By the 20th century, the revolt was directed towards some of the conventions of music, by composers such as Ligeti.
In this concert Lucie Horsch and Olga Pashchenko present a program with a difference, featuring works by Telemann, Dutch composer Jakob van Eyck, Father Soler and Ligeti.
