For Rossy de Palma, this film could not be left out of a cycle on fashion and cinema: “I have chosen La dolce vita because it is the rien ne va plus of chic, glamor and beauty.”

Marcello Rubini is a Roman paparazzi who is dissatisfied with the nocturnal parties of the bourgeoisie of the time. He wanders around different places always surrounded by all kinds of characters, especially the elite of Italian society. During one of his outings, he finds out that Sylvia, a famous movie diva, is coming to Rome and will chase after her until he gets the photo of the year. In 1960, the film won the Palme d'Or and the Oscar for Best Costume Design for Piero Gherardi.
