La Copa Nadal de Barcelona 2024
to
Portal de la Pau Plaça del Portal de la Pau Barcelona, Barcelona
For over 100 years, on December 25th, The Barcelona Swimming Club has organized a special swimming event. The competition involves a swim across 200 meters of open water in the Barcelona harbor, starting in front of the monument to Christopher Columbus, at the Portal de la Pau.
The first edition of the Copa Nadal was organized for Christmas in 1907, which makes this the oldest sporting event in Barcelona and one of the oldest in Europe.
Around 450 swimmers are expected to brave the chilly waters this Christmas day. If you fancy witnessing the unique spectacle, bring yourselves down to the harbor at 11:00, when the competition is set to begin!
Advanced registration is required; registration is open form Thursday, November 14th until December 15th.
