Until Reese Witherspoon’s Oscar-winning portrayal in the Johnny Cash biopic, Walk the Line, much of the public was unaware of country music icon June Carter. This documentary offers a more complete, human and realistic portrait that goes beyond the stereotype of the selfless and saving wife. Family, friends, country stars and a flood of unseen images reveal a strong, independent, funny, ambitious personality; her role within the Carter dynasty, her early days on TV, her time as an actress in NY, her “rock and roll years” with Elvis, Dean and Brando, her divorces, and the overshadowed talent of the author.
Film will be screened in original version with subtitles in Catalan.
