John Fogerty is an American musical icon renowned for his eclectic sound that fuses blues, country, pop and rock. A Grammy winner and member of the Rock and Roll Hall of Fame and Songwriters Hall of Fame, his legacy includes hits such as "Proud Mary," "Susie Q" and "Bad Moon Rising." He is also the only musician inducted into the Baseball Hall of Fame for his song "Centerfield."
As the singer/songwriter and guitarist for Creedence Clearwater Revival, John Fogerty created monumental and mythic American music. Drawing equally from rockabilly, country, and blues—all sounds associated with the Deep South, a region far away from his native Northern California—Fogerty developed a distinctive brand of rock & roll and a formidable repertoire.
