Despite more than 10 years since he left Barcelona to live in Berlin, the American Joe Smith left a mark on our city like few others. Known for introducing unique methods of composition from instant music schemes, Smith created the long-awaited Asociación Libre Orkestra in Robadors (in the Raval).

Born in Illinois and trained in New York, he has collaborated with Guillermo Klein, Gorka Benitez, Chris Lightcap and Jorge Rossy. Also with Bill McHenry and Masa Kamaguchi, with whom on this occasion he will present his latest works as a trio.
