Ian Anderson found new horizons and new themes for musical forays that sometimes confounded expectations as fans grew older and perhaps more serious in their musical taste. Another Aqualung, another Thick As A Brick, became an oft-repeated appeal. But the clocks are for going forward, not going back. Between acoustic and orchestral forays, Anderson still visited the fertile but treacherous ground of the concept album and progressive rock genre.
