With 21 editions under its belt, IN-EDIT Barcelona is the most successful festival specialized in music documentaries anywhere in the world, a unique festival that brings together the best of the audio-visual and musical sectors in the same meeting point.
This year's screenings include Oliver Schwehm's Born to Be Wild: The Story of Steppenwolf (Canada, Germany, 2024) depicting the tumultuous rise and fall of a group of young men from Toronto, Canada, as they navigated the psychedelic underground of California, biker gangs, legal battles, clashing personalities and the social unrest of the era behind; Kristen Vaurio's June, (USA, 2023) offers a complete, human, and realistic portrait of June Carter that goes beyond the stereotype of the selfless and saving wife; Dawn Porter's Luther: Never Too Much (USA, 2024) is an intimate and touching portrait of the legendary soul and R&B singer Luther Vandross; Georges Gachot's Misty: The Erroll Garner Story (Switzerland, France, Germany, 2024) answers the mystery of what Erroll Garner was really like behind the eternal smile ; and Nick Broomfield's The Stones and Brian Jones (UK, 2023) is a comprehensive and revealing documentary about Brian Jones, founder of the Rolling Stones and one of the tragic figures of 1960s rock.
