Desandando El Camino is a journey about the life of Gustavo Santaolalla through his music. From Arco Iris, his first band in Argentina, to Bajofondo, the artist is a multi-Latin Grammy award-winner.
His tour includes the Oscar-winning soundtracks of the films Brokeback Mountain and Babel, as well as the music of the outstanding video game and recently released HBO series The Last of Us.
The concert is a showcase of Santaolalla's wide range of compositions, an eclectic collection that balances instrumental and vocal material. Surrounded by an exquisite group of musicians and singers, they navigate different styles playing a wide variety of instruments, which bring a rich texture of timbres and moods to the show.
Desandando El Camino made its debut at the iconic Teatro Colón in Buenos Aires, Argentina, in December 2016. Since then it has traveled with great success and critical acclaim throughout Latin America and Europe, visiting prestigious venues such as the Barbican in London and the North Sea Jazz Festival in the Netherlands.
Santaolalla has also performed accompanied by a full orchestra at the Plácido Domingo Classics Festival in Pecs, Hungary, the National Auditorium in Madrid, Spain and, most famously, at the Hollywood Bowl with the Los Angeles Philharmonic conducted by Gustavo Dudamel playing a Suite from Motorcycle Diaries.
This year he returns to the old continent to perform in several cities in Spain and in the mythical Bataclan venue in Paris.
