Elsa Armengou, now 19 years old, has been with the Sant Andreu Jazz Band since she was six years old, during which time she has had the opportunity to play and record with great musicians such as Scott Hamilton, Joe Magnarelli, Dick Oatts, Joel Frahm, John Allred, Terrell Stafford, Wycliffe Gordon and Jesse Davis. She has recorded over 40 albums within the context of the Sant Andreu Jazz Band.

Her progression in recent years has been remarkable and is reflected in her playing style, her sound, her ability to improvise in a relaxed manner and with surprising inventiveness. Elsa has been and continues to be a key musician in the Sant Andreu Jazz Band project, serving as a reference for all those currently involved in the project.
