Considered by fans and the specialized press as the best worldwide interpreter of Mark Knopfler, the Galician guitarist Óscar Rosende (founder and ex-leader of Brothers in Band until 2019) presents his new project: gREAT sTRAITS, and his show The great songs of Dire Straits.
The Galician guitarist came to confuse the very same Scottish musician and his band, who upon hearing him play and sing thought it was an original recording, as stated by Guy Fletcher (keyboardist for Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler, in the photo below with Óscar Rosende) on his own website: "They were playing 'Why Aye Man" and I have to say that I thought it was our recording."
The new band, made up of nine musicians and six technicians presents The Great Songs of Dire Straits, an exclusive tribute show to the British band, in which all the details have been carefully curated to transport the viewer to the "Universe of the greatest hits of Dire Straits."
The frontman of gREAT sTRAITS states: "This new show is unlike anything seen and heard before. I am sure it will delight the most demanding fans of Dire Straits and Mark Knopfler. I have the utmost respect for Mark Knopfler, and it was necessary to produce a show at the height of his work. No one will be able to escape the nostalgia and emotion that will be lived in each and every one of the concerts of the tour."
The Great Songs of Dire Straits is not just any tribute to Dire Straits; it is the biggest Dire Straits experience in Europe. An incredible staging that will captivate the fans of the British band and lovers of good music, and with which their greatest hits such as "Sultans of Swing," "Romeo and Juliet," " Money for Nothing," "Tunnel of Love" and "Telegraph Road."
