At the ALMA festival, Glen Hansard, known as the frontman and co-founder of the Irish rock band The Frames, takes center stage. Additionally, he forms one half of the folk duo The Swell Season alongside Czech pianist and vocalist Markéta Irglová. Their collaboration earned them an Academy Award for Best Original Song for "Falling Slowly," featured in the film Once, where they both had acting roles. Hansard has also ventured into solo work, releasing five albums, including the GRAMMY-nominated "Didn't He Ramble" (2015), along with several EPs.
