Girona Film Festival has been going since 1989, making it the second-oldest Catalan film festival. The event is aimed at professionals, artists and students from the film sector; unreleased films and projects compete and are screened in front of thousands of film lovers.
The festival also addresses themes important to public interest: children, young people and audience members of all ages are invited to ruminate on themes of integration, equality, accessibility, sustainability, historical memory and beyond.
