In 2022, FotoFest aimed to be a space to celebrate and recognise achievements in the wonderful world of photography, and share the work of Pepe Encinas, Pierre Radisic and Jordi Reinoso, members of the Fotoclub Poblenou. Thanks to Photoclub Prades-Conflent and Càmera Club Sabadell, Poblenou was transformed into a cultural hub celebrating local photographers and displaying their work.
FotoFest returns this November, celebrating their second edition, learning and improving from 2022. Fifteen exhibitions by renowned artists will fill ten landmark buildings in this historic Barcelona neighbourhood with art and photography. Led by curator Oriol Maspons, there will be concerts, projections and even a fashion show. The festival will also host numerous complementary activities such as theoretical and practical workshops, talks and a photography rally for all those who wish to participate.
Opening on Friday the 18th, there are a plethora of events to choose from, alongside the exhibits of the curated photographs this year participating in the ral·li photography competition. Participation and all exhibits and events are free, but make sure to check which events require inscription beforehand.
