A cast of twelve Argentine dancers take part in this authentically New York production about the history of tango in Argentina in the 19th century. Sensual and sophisticated, Forever Tango features twelve world-class tango dancers, a vocalist and an eleven-piece orchestra onstage; the orchestra includes four badoneons, the signature instrument of tango. It’s an evening that celebrates the passionate music and dance of Argentina.
Created and directed by Luis Bravo, the play has been awarded Best Touring Musical by the Bay Area Theatre Critics Circle in San Francisco as well as the coveted Simpatía Prize at the Spoleto Festival in Italy. Forever Tango has been performed in numerous countries around the world, being acclaimed by more than 8 million spectators and running for five seasons on Broadway, becoming the most successful Latin play in the history of theater in the world.
Luis Bravo is a world-class cellist who has performed with major symphony orchestras around the world. His distinguished credits include appearances with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, the Teatro Colón, the Buenos Aires Philharmonic, and other prestigious ensembles around the world.
