This year's film cycle at Park Güell is dedicated to the Barcelona film director, screenwriter and producer Ventura Pons, who died at the beginning of January this year.

June 28: Ocaña. Retrat intermitent (1978)

The film portrays the life of the transvestite artist José Pérez Ocaña. At the time homosexuality and transvestism were illegal, which left members of the LGBTIQ+ community both at risk of social ostracization and presented a persistent risk of physical harm. The film portrays the emergence of struggles for LGBTIQ+ rights in Barcelona, a city still marked by the dictatorship.

July 5: El perquè de tot plegat (The Why of It All) (1995)

A set of stories based on a series by the writer Quim Monzó, a minimalist frieze that deals with human behavior in 15 different vignettes.

July 12: Barcelona (un mapa) (2007)

If there is anything typically Barcelona, ​​it is the apartments in the Eixample. They are all the same, but at the same time different. Behind each door are hidden a thousand different lives and stories and Ventura Pons tells us some of them.

Entrance is free, but seats are limited and must be reserved in advance.
