Given the increasingly urgent need to provoke a shift towards a more environmentally, economically and socially sustainable world, Drap-Art uses art as a tool for social transformation and commentary, by inviting contemporary and urban artists, designers, artisans, activists, and multifaceted creators of all kinds, to say their piece.
A cultural tour through the Gothic quarter of Barcelona with exhibitions of urban and contemporary art showcases the infinite possibilities of creative recycling and the use of objets trouvés to reflect on the relation between sustainability and art, and the potential of art as a tool for social transformation.
From November 17th to December 21st, the center of Barcelona will be flooded with exhibitions and art installations from diverse artists, including pioneers of environmental art, outstanding contemporary artists from Catalonia, old masters of urban art alongside representatives of the current urban art scene.
