The legendary American punk band, Dead Kennedys, is touring Spain, returning to Barcelona to for the first time in 20 years.

An American punk rock and hardcore punk band that emerged in the late 1970s in San Francisco, the Dead Kennedys was the first American hardcore punk band to have a huge global impact.

The group's combination of sarcasm, satire and black humor sets it apart from other punk bands of the political ideology of the left. Provocative, highly-charged political lyrics and illustrations lampooning both liberal and conservative political figures as well as popular culture and even the punk movement itself have always attracted considerable attention leading some stores to refuse to sell its albums—and there have even been lawsuits filed against the group sparking a debate about censorship in rock.
