The Carmen Cloister will host the first joint performance of Raquel García-Tomas’ three works of baroque inspiration. The nationally and internationally celebrated composer who won the National Music Award in 2020 presents a program that will take you on a journey through the works of Bach and Monteverdi in a dialogue with her own compositions.

The evening will close with the premier of the revised version of Suite of Myself, a work commissioned by the Festival.

Considered to be one of the finest creators of our times, García-Tomás invites you to “unwind with the stars under a night sky,”—a quote from a Monteverdi madrigal after which this concert is named.
